Occurrences of representations of Vir with non-trivial central charge action

Abstract:
The Virasoro Lie algebra, Vir, is the unique central extension of the Witt Lie algebra, Vec(T). Many representations of Vir have trivial central charge action and thus reduce to representations of Vec(T). In this talk we will see where some representations of Vir with non-trivial central charge action occur. In the process we will discuss quotients and subspaces and their correlation to subsets and quotients of dual spaces respectively.
