Nonstandard topology and compactness

Abstract: just as one can view the real numbers as having infinitesimals, one can view any topological space as having infinitely small open sets. From this perspective we get Robinson's theorem, a beautiful restatement of compactness. We will use this to tackle some of the big theorems on compactness.
