UNT is hosting the regional Algebra Symposium Spring 2018. This weekend workshop was started at UNT and is organized for and by graduate students each semester. The Algebra Symposium rotates among various universities in Oklahoma and Texas. Previous speakers have hailed from University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M University, Baylor University, University of Texas at Arlington and other institutions. PhD students Chelsea Drescher and Naomi Krawzik from UNT are local co-organizers Spring 2018 with Derek Tomlin (UTA) and Jordan Wiebe (OU) other co-organizers. For more information, see
