Title: Transformation Properties of Hypergeometric Functions over Finite Fields
Abstract: An important feature of classical hypergeometric series is their powerful transformation and summation formulas. In this talk we will introduce hypergeometric functions over finite fields, which are analogous to classical hypergeometric series.. We will discuss some of the areas in which these functions have featured. We will also outline recent work on developing transformation properties for these functions, which mirror those of the classical case.
