Title: Using Precalculus to Derive the Taylor Polynomials of sin x
Abstract: Taylor polynomials and Taylor series are arguably the most important topics taught in Calculus II that are used in both pure and applied mathematics. In this talk, we present a derivation of the Taylor polynomials of sin x using only ideas from Precalculus, giving these expansions a natural geometrical foundation. This talk will be accessible to any undergraduate who has completed Precalculus.
