What is happening in representation theory of finite groups?

In the representation theory of finite groups, we have had several important and interesting problems/conjectures. Most of them originally and essentially go back to Richard Brauer (1901--77), who was almost a unique pioneer in the subject. We will be discussing the conjectures with background and survey, and also some recent development(s).
