Position Available: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Statistics

The Mathematics Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to significantly expand its faculty with research expertise in statistics or a related field and invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in statistics with the expected appointment to begin in Fall 2016.

Responsibilities of this position are to pursue research in statistics or a related field and teach undergraduate and graduate statistics courses. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester with typically a 2-1 load during the initial years of the appointment.

The successful candidate for the assistant professor position will have a Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to outstanding applicants with previous academic research experience and/or college teaching experience and with strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
