1. Sabinal to Garner State Park

• I have visited Garner Park several times. It never disappoints. We got a great campsite at the base of Mount Baldy. We did a lot of hiking and we did some fishing in the Sabinal river, which flows right through the park. It was too cold to swim or tube.

2. Garner to Lost Maples State Natural Area

• Lost Maples is about a thirty minute drive from Garner. We got there just after all of the leaves had fallen. One of these days we will make the trip to catch the leaves change color.

  In April of 2024, there will be a solar eclipse and Lost Maples lies along the path of totality. I hope to grab one of the primitive campsites.
