The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas invites applications to fill a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2021. The teaching commitment is two courses in the first year, and three courses in the second and third year. Successful candidates will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics by Fall 2021, demonstrate potential for excellence in research, and provide evidence of effective teaching. Candidates in all areas of pure and applied mathematics will be considered.
Applications should include an AMS coversheet, a curriculum vitae, a teaching statement, a research statement, a list of publications and four letters of recommendation, one of which addresses teaching effectiveness. First consideration will be given to applications received by January 31, 2021.
