In 1537 Paracelsus was called to Mährisch Kromau, then in Bohemia (now known as Moravský Krumlov, in the Czech Republic), to aid Johann von der Leipnick, the "Obersten Erbmarschalls des Königreichs Böhmen" (the "supreme heir marshal of the Bohemian Kingdom," before he headed south for Pressburg (Bratislava) and Wien (Vienna). This is the historic mansion, or chateau, of Leipnick. The view is eastward.
