At the British Museum is a bust of Sloane (by Michael Rysback, 1694-1770), which was once displayed at Chelsea on Cheyne Walk not far from Hatchett's house (Belle Vue) {LINK: London2H-120}. Sloane is now buried in Chelsea. Sloane donated the columbite sample to Hatchett, which was originally from Connecticut and in in which niobium (columbium) was discovered. {LINK: London2G-010}.
