Previous | Home | NextIn this Google Earth view, two important locations are identified in Verkniye Aremzyany: (1) The local school, marked by "1"; a plaque devoted to Mendeleev is posted on its outside wall, and an exhibit on Mendeleev has been constructed inside. (2) A four-meter monument (a bronze bust of Mendeleev) has been erected on the hill overlooking the Aremzyany River at "2." The meandering river can be traced at the lower left corner of the photo. The glass factory lay down the slope from the monument, southwest toward the river, about 80 meters away from the monument.
