Group Codes  REU Summer 2013 June 3, 2013--July 5, 2013 University of North Texas Department of Mathematics

Description. An intensive five week undergraduate research project on geometry and coding theory, which uses groups of symmetries (e.g., reflections and rotations of the octahedron) and UNT's super computer to encode information.  The faculty adviser is Dr. Anne Shepler.  Ph.D. students Christine Uhl and Tamara Knox will act as mentors.

This REU is funded by UNT and NSF grants DNS 0943870 and DNS 1101177.
