Radcliffe Square appears the same as it has since 1749. In the center is Radcliffe Camera, one of the most common tourist sites of Oxford University, named for John Radcliffe (1652-1714), a student who bequeathed a major sum to the university. The building is used for a library (originally science); it has underground storage capacity for 600,000 volumes.
