Abstract:

In this talk, I'll define a certain generic Hecke algebra which specializes to two well known concrete Hecke algebras. I'll describe some combinatorial tools which will parameterize the irreducible representations of this generic Hecke algebra. Finally, I'll present results which give the indexing set for the said irreducible representations, along with some other interesting results that relate to our generic Hecke algebra.
