Abstract: We will begin with a discussion of the symmetric group on n letters, Young tableaux, and group representations. Using the tableaux as tools, we will build all irreducible representations of the symmetric group. If time permits, we will generalize this construction to build all representations of the finite complex reflection groups G(r,1,n).
