We will review the paramodular newform theory for the group $\text{GSp}(4)$ over a $p$-adic field, and explain a new companion theory of fixed vectors for the stable Klingen subgroup. The stable Klingen theory leads to improved algorithms for the computational approach to classical Siegel modular forms. This is joint work with Jennifer Johnson-Leung and Brooks Roberts.
