Finite matrix groups can be used to transmit messages over a channel that may contain noise. Properties of complex reflection groups can make this process vastly more efficient. We discuss the selection of subgroup chains and coset representatives in the groups G(r,1,n) so as to allow for correct and quick decoding, and present experimental results towards extending these findings to other complex reflection groups.
