Duong Bach Nguyen was recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Mathematics at UNT's 2014 Honors Day Ceremony, and she was also the first recipient of the math department's new David F. Dawson scholarship. Duong will be graduating in May with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Finance. She will begin graduate study toward a Ph.D. at the University of Houston in the fall and will attend a summer program on Partial Differential Equations and Applied Mathematics at the Vietnamese Institute of Advanced Study in Mathematics.
