Total ergodicity and rigidity are important ergodic-theoretic properties for measure-preseving transformations. In this talk I will speak about explicit characterizations of these properties for bounded rank-one transformations. The characterizations allow one to decide whether a specific bounded rank-one transformation has these properties by some simple computations.
