Abstract: In a hat guessing game, each player tries to guess the color of the hat they are wearing by looking at the colors of hats worn by some of the other players. The goal is to maximize the total number of correct guesses made collectively by the players. The game is made deterministic by allowing the players to develop a strategy before the hats are placed. We explore optimal strategies and hat games with restricted vision.
