Abstract:

In this talk, I'll introduce the Dickson polynomials, which give the ring of invariant polynomials for the general linear group
acting on a finite-dimensional vector space over a finite field. My talk will mainly focus on fields isomorphic to the integers modulo p, a prime, and include examples.
