Paramodular forms are a certain kind of Siegel modular forms of degree 2. They exhibit much nicer properties than other types of Siegel modular forms, and have become very important in recent years due to their appearance in the "paramodular conjecture". In this talk we will explain their definition and basic properties, as well as some recent results.
