The purpose of the talk is to discuss the usage of quiver presentations to understand algebras associated with finite Coxeter groups. These algebras include the descent algebra, the Mantaci-Reutenauer algebra, and time permitting, the 0-Hecke algebra. All three algebras will be introduced, as will the rudiments of quiver presentations. The talk will be suitable for a general audience.
