Our common understandings in the finite-dimensional world may not hold in the infinite-dimensional world. For example, we know that 1=2 is wrong. However, when infinity is involved, one can come up with 1=2. How can we avoid the error for the infinite-dimensional world? In this presentation, the speaker will give examples, or paradoxes that are related to infinity and why we need to study infinity.
