Graduate Application Process

Apply for admission to the MS or PhD program at the University of North Texas Toulouse Graduate School using this link. At the application portal you will upload your transcripts from your previous universities, your CV, your statement of purpose, and GRE scores. The general GRE is strongly recommended, but not required. Furthermore, three letters of recommendation are required, and your references will upload their letters to the application portal.

Applications to enter the program beginning in the Fall semester will be reviewed starting early the preceding Spring. Full consideration will be given to applications received by January 15, but review of applications will continue until all positions are filled. Full consideration for applications to enter the program beginning in the Spring semester will be given to applications received by October 15.

Admission Requirements

Coursework
A well-qualified applicant will have the equivalent of an undergraduate degree with a major in mathematics from UNT. The precise requirements for a major in mathematics can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog. An applicant should have earned strong grades in several proof-based upper-division mathematics courses (e.g. abstract algebra, real analysis, and topology).

Standardized Tests
The general GRE exam is strongly recommended but not required. The math subject GRE exam is recommended. The scores should be at most five years old.
