Build the mathematical foundations for studying and evaluating risk and prepare for your actuarial exam with UNT's certificate program.
- Read about actuarial careers at www.beanactuary.org, www.casact.org, and at www.soa.org.
- The library has some materials that can help you study for the actuarial exams: actuarial exam study materials.
- Mathematics students seeking the Undergraduate Academic Certificate in Actuarial Science are eligible for the The Aspiring Actuary Scholarship from the College of Science.
- The mathematics department maintains an e-mail distribution list where we e-mail out information of interest to actuarial students, including actuarial job opportunities. If you would like to be added to this e-mail list, e-mail the advisor in charge of the program and ask to be added to the actuarial e-mail list.
- Students are also encouraged to seek internships that may be pursued in conjunction with RMIN 4800. For more information on obtaining internships, feel free to contact the UNT Internships Office.
- Students are encouraged to participate in Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), an international risk management, insurance, and actuarial science fraternity.
